INTRODUCTION
In the Philippine Education System, there is a strong emphasis on community immersion as an essential component of teacher training. This is driven by the recognition that 21st-century education demands teachers who are well-connected to their communities and capable of addressing real-world issues. As major stakeholders in the education system, students are actively involved in community-based learning experiences to develop their skills and understanding of local challenges, thereby preparing them to effectively tackle real-world problems in their teaching careers.
Activity 6 focuses on community linkages, teacher’s personal and professional attributes and development, and the importance of their involvement to research and extension activities. These linkages not only benefit the students but also contribute to the overall development and well-being of the community itself.
